Defiance Significance Book 3 eBook Shelly Crane
Warning: Spoilers for those who haven't read the previous books.Defiance was so good and I knew it would be. Shelly Crane knows how to write a swooning tear-jerker romance that has be begging for my on significance. She has not only that, the action and evil-doing in this book was off the charts. I feel in love with some characters and hated other with a fiery-passion.
Maggie has a her hands full with this group, the Aces are stuck in their old traditions and turning their heads to some serious in justices. Saying that the Watsons are up to no good is an serious understatement. They take their evil doing to a whole new level and Maggie is in more danger than she or the rest of the Jacobsons think.
The action and evil plots that revolve around Maggie and the Watsons finally proves them to be the dangerous enemy that they are. They have had their hand in some seriously nasty stuff, all their depraved actions and plots become know. And they haven't just started at this apparently they have been going at it for a really long time, I'm talking generations long. The experiments, manipulations and bulling is just the tip of the ice burg. They are out to control the Visionary and if Maggie doesn't play along they made it perfectly clear that they will eliminate her.
With the Aces stuck in the past Maggie as the Visionary has to pull them forward into the present and guide them to the future. Maggie did have a little aversion to being the Visionary but the events in Defiance has made Maggie grow not only into herself but into her powers and role as leader to her people.
Some other pretty explosives things happen in this book as well. For one Maggie's bio-dad is revealed and it was quite a shock. Maggie's dad and her brother Bish show up to the palace and pretty much all hell breaks loose.
In Defiance Maggie realizes who she is suppose to be for her people, she fights serious injustices and tries her best to help her people. With evil plots be hatched, a heartbreaking loss, past and present colliding, imprints, murder and mystery this book was everything I could have hoped for. Maggie had battled evil doers, old ways and showed her Defiance now it's time for a little Independence.

Defiance Significance Book 3 eBook Shelly Crane Reviews
Defiance is easily my favorite book of the series! Shelly Crane brought it all with this book. It had intrigued, political games, action, love and heartbreak. There seems to be an enemy at every corner and no one can be trusted.
Maggie, Caleb and the entire Jacobson clan are at the reunification with the other Ace's. The other clans are excited to meet Maggie, as she is the Visionary and the leader of her people. But once at the reunification, it becomes clear that the Ace's have no intention of letting Maggie be anything but a puppet.
Maggie and Caleb find themselves in a dangerous game. The Watson are leading the council and are doing everything they can to destroy Maggie and Caleb. The council is bound by outdated rules and hypocritical standards, that they become blind to what Ace's have become and are slowly destroying themselves. Maggie and Caleb soon learn that Fate has a different plan for them and has they are shown the horrors of the past, they begin to take steps to change their future and the future of their people.
Maggie has really come into her own in this story. She is no longer the shy overwhelmed girl we meet early on. She is a strong and capable women who refuses to bow down to the evil schemes of those bent of keeping power. With Caleb at her side, Maggie begins to assert her authority as the Visionary and starts to change the hearts of the people.
However, the Watson clan is not ready to go down without a fight. They have one last trick up the sleeve to destroy the Jacobson clan and to control Maggie. As Caleb and Maggie fight to save their destinies and the lives of their people, hard decisions will be made and life will be lost
I loved the first two books in the series. This one was okay. There was a lot wrong with it. The story line wasn't feasible or believable at all. She's the Visionary, and yet basically has no power to use her powers to help her people? It went on far too long. This isn't centuries ago, and the archaic rules would just not fly. They don't believe in killing, so if they revolt against the council, what is the worst that is going to happen? I found myself skimming over and wishing for things to move on. Disappointed in this one but read it because I was invested in the characters already. I felt like the author was just dragging it out to make another book, and needed to stay more true to how she started it. Maggie could kill someone in the prior book, but now she's going around bowing down to a bunch of people that want to do her harm. Just dumb.
Warning Spoilers for those who haven't read the previous books.
